A “deep rooted companion” of Brett Kavanaugh’s informer says she has never met Kavanaugh and that she has “no memory” of regularly being at a local gathering with Kavanaugh, CNN reports.
Leland Ingham Keyser is said to be the fourth witness named in informer Christine Blasey Ford’s letter to Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) which claims that Keyser was the main female visitor in participation at a local gathering 35 years back where Ford says a teenaged Kavanaugh sexually struck her. The Senate Judiciary Committee reached Keyser not long ago in the wake of learning of her personality.
Late Saturday evening, Keyser issued an announcement to the panel through her own lawyer, Howard Walsh, asserting that she has never met Kavanaugh and that she surely didn’t go to any gatherings with him.
“Basically,” Walsh told media Saturday, “Ms. Keyser does not know Mr. Kavanaugh and she has no memory of regularly being at a gathering or assembling where he was available, with, or without, Dr. Portage.”
Walsh proceeded to recognize that Keyser is a “long lasting companion” of Dr. Portage.
In her underlying letter, Ford asserted that just a couple of individuals went to the gathering where she says an alcoholic Kavanaugh pushed her into a room, pawed at her apparel, and endeavored to kiss her. Each of the three of those witnesses, distinguished by the Senate Judiciary Committee, not just deny that Kavanaugh sexually struck Ford, they don’t appear to review any such gathering, giving occasion to feel qualms about genuine Ford’s cases.
Portage’s lawyers reacted to Keyser’s announcement Sunday morning, proposing that Keyser is irrelevant to Ford’s account.
“It’s not amazing that Ms. Keyser has no memory of the night as they didn’t talk about it,” Ford’s lawyers said in the claim proclamation. “It’s likewise unremarkable that Ms. Keyser does not recall going to a particular social occasion 30 years prior at which nothing of result happened to her. Dr. Passage obviously will always remember this social occasion as a result of the end result for her there.”
That is additionally a noteworthy takeoff from Ford’s statement a week ago that the FBI should talk with all the gathering participants to completely examine — and substantiate — Ford’s cases.
